South Carolina Seal of Biliteracy

This seal advances the state’s commitment to preparing every learner for college and career readiness in an increasingly international community. These students have earned this nationally recognized credential based on their demonstration of, at minimum, an intermediate to advanced level proficiency in English and Spanish according to the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines and the SC Seal of Biliteracy guidelines.  We applaud you for reaching and maintaining this laudable level of language proficiency and for providing evidence of your ability to use language that is appropriate and acceptable to native speakers in various contexts for sustained, non-rehearsed communication that can go beyond tasks and experiences in the classroom.
