Miller named interim principal at New Heights Middle School

That experience in the community will serve Miller well, said Chesterfield County School District Superintendent Dr. Harrison Goodwin.

“She has a great reputation and a wonderful rapport with the parents,” he says about Miller. “I know that her work ethic and her attention to detail will serve her well at New Heights.

Miller says that she relishes the opportunity to help students prepare for their future and for their advancement to Central High School.
“I look forward to leading and being a member of the New Heights Middle School family,” she adds. “I know that we will accomplish great things working together because as I have stated so many times before there is excellence through teamwork.”

Miller earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education from Winthrop University. She later earned a Master of Education Degree from Francis Marion University in 2001 in Instructional Accommodations. In 2010 Miller earned another Master of Education Degree from Wingate University in Educational Leadership. She has participated in the district’s Aspiring Principal’s Program since 2013 and completed the South Carolina Developing Aspiring Principals Program in 2014. She is also a licensed Global Career Development Facilitator and licensed K-12 Administrator in South Carolina.
