Central High School Interim Principal named

Mr. Barnhill is a licensed secondary administrator. In 1998, he earned his BS degree in History from Lander University. In 2006, he earned his Master of Arts in Education Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. He has been an active participant in the Chesterfield County Aspiring Principal’s program. He has also served on a number of district committees related to instruction and technology.

According to Dr. Harrison Goodwin, Superintendent of the Chesterfield County School District, “Mr. Barnhill’s teaching and leadership background has prepared him to meet the needs of students, staff and the community. This preparation is the result of 18 years of service to education with the last 5 being in Chesterfield County. He is highly regarded among students and staff and well respected throughout the community. “

Mr. Barnhill strongly believes that educators, along with the community should always have what is best for students as their primary focus. He stated, “Maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders will be essential, it is the only way that we will ensure that Central High School continues to prepare students to be productive citizens and lifelong learners. Through teamwork, I am confident that we will support all students in achieving their future goals.”
