Chesterfield County School District, located in Chesterfield, South Carolina, is dedicated to providing every student with a high-quality education in a safe and supportive environment. Serving the communities of Chesterfield County, the district is made up of a diverse network of schools that are committed to academic excellence, innovation, and preparing students for success in college, careers, and life.

Technology

The district provides a comprehensive range of academic programs and extracurricular opportunities to support student growth and success. All 16 schools are fully wireless and connected through a high-speed wide area network, ensuring seamless access to digital resources. Students and staff enjoy full-time Internet connectivity in classrooms, libraries, and computer labs, as well as access to distance learning options. Every teacher is equipped with a laptop, and each classroom features an interactive whiteboard to enhance instruction. Additionally, every student from 3rd grade up is provided with their own Chromebook.

Facilities

The Board of Trustees has made a commitment to providing inviting learning environments across the school district.  In November 2024, Chesterfield County voters gave approval to a bond referendum and a penny sales tax to fund various projects across the district including:
  • Safety, security, and accessibility improvements
  • General renovations and upgrades to aging schools and facilities
  • Upgrades and improvements to Career & Technical Education programs
  • Additions of classroom space in multiple schools
  • Upgrades/additions of football field, gyms, tracks, and other athletic facilities
  • New digital signs at all schools
