Who Do I Need to Call When I Need Assistance?

Chesterfield County School District is committed to providing every student with a high-quality education. We also recognize that our role extends to serving parents and the community. At times during the school year, you may need to reach out to a staff member regarding a question, issue, or concern. To help ensure your needs are addressed efficiently, we ask that you follow these steps:

  1. Start with the person closest to the situation.
    For example, if your concern involves something that happened in your child’s classroom, your first contact should be the teacher.
  2. If the issue is not resolved, contact the supervisor of that individual.
    In most cases, this would be the assistant principal or principal.
  3. If you have spoken with the assistant principal and still feel your concern has not been fully addressed, please contact the school principal.
    Most concerns can be resolved at this level, and we ask that principals be given the opportunity to work with you to find a solution.
  4. If your concern cannot be resolved at the school level, or if it involves a district-wide matter, please contact the appropriate district department listed below.

  • For issues at athletic events after speaking with the principal, please contact the Athletic Director of the School.

  • Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs give students a head start on college and career success by teaching valuable technical skills and core academic knowledge. Our courses offer hands-on experience in high-demand fields like health science, information technology, skilled trades, and more, preparing students for certifications and future employment.

  • The Office of Curriculum & Instruction works with matters pertaining to grades, teaching, assessment, schedules, and the like.
