As the principal of Jefferson Elementary, King consistently demonstrated a strong ability to collaborate with his instructional and support staff, attain high student academic standards, effectively manage school operations and work closely with the Jefferson Elementary parents and community.
King earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina in 2002. He also earned his Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College in 2011. In 2018, King earned an Educational Specialist Degree from Wingate University. Currently he is a doctoral candidate at Wingate University.
“Over the last four years, Mr. King has effectively led Jefferson Elementary by inspiring and embracing students, equipping staff and collaborating with the community,” said Dr. Harrison Goodwin, Superintendent of the Chesterfield County School District. “He has overcome unexpected challenges and has always displayed a high level of commitment to doing what was best for the Jefferson Elementary Family.
“I look forward to his continued leadership and the positive impact that he will make on all of the New Heights Middle School stakeholders.”
