New McBee HS principal announced

Superintendent Goodwin expressed appreciation to Dr. McLaurin for his service at McBee High.

Over the last 10 years of her professional career, Ms. Caldwell has worked in the Chesterfield County School District.  She taught at Chesterfield-Ruby Middle School for three years and served as the assistant principal of Chesterfield High School for the last seven years.

Ms. Caldwell is a licensed secondary administrator in the state of South Carolina.  In 1993, she earned her Bachelors’ Degree in Political Science from Coker University. In 2007, she earned her Master of Education Degree in School Administration from Cambridge College.

Ms. Caldwell believes that she possesses the skills and qualifications necessary to serve the students, parents, faculty and staff of McBee High School. When asked about her appointment, she responded, “I am excited to serve as the interim principal at McBee High School because as an educator, my desire has always been to serve where I can do the greatest good.  As a principal and instructional leader, I can be an integral part of making sure that young people leave high school armed with everything they need to succeed.  Also, as the product of a small town myself, I am looking forward to being a part of this close-knit school community.”

According to district superintendent, Dr. Harrison Goodwin, “Ms. Caldwell’s middle and high school experience, coupled with her instructional leadership and school management skills, will be a good fit for McBee High School. We are excited about her appointment and we are extremely confident that the students, faculty and staff of McBee High School will accomplish great things under her leadership.”
