McManus Named 2024-2025 District Teacher of the Year

Mrs. McManus, a native of Chesterfield County and a 2008 McBee High School graduate, has six years of teaching experience with all of those years being with the District at Central High School. According to Mrs. McManus, “Teaching is not a profession, it’s a passion. It’s about making a difference in the lives of our students every single day.” Mrs. McManus also stated, “The greatest measure of professional contributions comes from student successes.”

Her principal, Mr. Rob Ransom had this to say, “We are so thrilled to have Mrs. Jessica McManus as our Teacher of the Year. She epitomizes what it means to be a top-notch educator through her professionalism and her ability to inspire her students to give their best. She gives the students at Central her best every day and they, in turn, give her their best.”

According to Dr. Chan Anderson, Superintendent of Chesterfield County School District, “Mrs. McManus’ exceptional representation of Central High School reflects her excellence. She will be a significant voice for all teachers within our district.”
