Morgan Named Principal of Chesterfield-Ruby Middle School for the 2025-2026 School Year

Mr. David Morgan has been named the Principal of Chesterfield-Ruby Middle School for Chesterfield County School District for the 2025-2026 school year. Mr. Morgan is a Chesterfield County native and a graduate of Cheraw High School.

Mr. Morgan brings 25 years of educational experience, all within Chesterfield County School District. He began his teaching career at Central High School and later joined Cheraw High School, where he taught a variety of Business Education courses in the Career and Technical Education Department. For the past six years, Mr. Morgan has served as Assistant Principal at McBee High School and has been an active participant in the District’s Aspiring Principals Program, preparing him well for this new leadership role.

Mr. Morgan holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Clemson University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. He is a member of both the Chesterfield County Administrators Association (CCAA) and the South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA).

Mr. Morgan and his wife, Shelley, reside in Cheraw, SC, with their two children.
