Chesterfield County School District is excited to welcome Dr. Angela Vaughan as our new Chief of Human Resources!

Coming from Lancaster County, Dr. Vaughan brings more than 30 years of educational experience and a deep passion for serving students and staff. She most recently served as the Director of State and Federal Accountability and Assistant Director of Human Resources in Lancaster County School District.

Dr. Vaughan began her career as a teacher in the Lancaster and Charlotte areas before transitioning into administration in 2007. She has served as an Instructional Specialist and Title I Coordinator and has led in state, federal, and human resources initiatives since 2021.

She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University, and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Wake Forest University.

Dr. Vaughan’s extensive background, leadership experience, and commitment to empowering educators make her an incredible addition to Team CCSD. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!
