🚨 Penalties for Violations
Violations of the ordinance are classified as misdemeanors:

Juvenile Cases: Handled through Family Court or the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).

Adult Penalties (Parents/Guardians): A fine up to $500 or up to 30 days jail (each offense is separate).

Warning: Officers may give a warning for the first offense.

Protection: Parents and businesses are protected from penalties if they promptly contact law enforcement when a youth refuses to leave or cannot be safely taken home.
