Middleton named new Pageland principal

Middleton has served in Chesterfield County School district for 22 years. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher on the high school, middle school and elementary school level in Pageland and Jefferson. Most recently, Middleton has served as an assistant principal at Cheraw Primary School,
Her peers selected Middleton as Teacher of the Year in 1999. She also has conducted multiple technology and instructional professional developments and has been the chairperson of many school-community events.
Middleton earned her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Coker College in 1993 and her Masters Degree in Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2008.
“(Middleton) is well known for her leadership, willingness to learn, and her dependability,” says Chesterfield County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Harrison Goodwin. He added that beyond the classroom and school administration, Middleton has also experienced great success as a softball coach, volleyball coach and basketball coach in the Pageland and Jefferson area schools.
“I am confident that she is going to continue the growth at Pageland Elementary School that we have seen recently,” says Goodwin.
