District holds spelling bee

The Chesterfield County School District Spelling Bee was held on Thursday, January 19th at Palmetto Learning Center. Eleven students participated in the competition. Participants were as followed: Jasmine Ochoa (2-EES), Britton Scott (1-CIS), Brandy Cuellar (11-MES), Hart Starling (5-PVE), Destiny Blakeney (4-PES), David Oliver (9-JES), Briley Miles (8-RES), Addison Morton (3-CRMS), Zhanay McCoy (6-LMS), Rafael Rangel (7-NHMS) and Jackson Morris (10-MHS). After seventeen spelling rounds, Hart Starling (PVE) was pronounced the CCSD Spelling Bee Winner. Addison Morton (CRMS) was the Runner-Up.

Hart will soon travel to Charlotte in February to the Charlotte Observer Regional Bee.
