Jefferson Elementary principal named

 
Mrs. Tucker attended Winthrop University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She received her Masters’ Degree in Instructional Accommodations from Francis Marion University and a Masters’ Degree in Educational Leadership from Wingate University. She has also been a long-time participant in the district’s Aspiring Principals program and she has participated in multiple leadership trainings at the state level.
According to Dr. Harrison Goodwin, Superintendent of the Chesterfield County School District, “Mrs. Tucker has served her entire career in Chesterfield County School District and is well able to step in and lead the Jefferson Elementary Family. She has a heart for children, teaching and the community.”
When asked about her new assignment, she stated, “I am confident that, with the voices of the Jefferson staff, students and the community, our commitment to excellence and doing what is best for children will take us to great heights now and into the future!”
