He is an eighth grade student at Chesterfield Ruby Middle School.
Seventh grader Tyson Snow of New Heights Middle School was the runner up.
Eleven participants from the district’s elementary and middle schools participated. All eleven have also been invited to attend the Regional Spelling Bee at Francis Marion University on Feb. 7.
