Less than 1% of high school seniors in the nation who take the PSAT receive this honor. The 7250 scholarship recipients will be selected from the 16000 semifinalists. Adams also received the National Rural and Small Town Award from the College Board National Recognition Program semifinalists, which are also determined by the PSAT scores.
Carson is the daughter of Neil and Michele Adams. She is in the Accelerate program with the Governor's School of Science and Math in Hartsville.
