Mrs. Young earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Furman University. She earned a Masters of Education in Secondary Education from the University of South Carolina. She also earned a second Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina.
In 1989, Mrs. Young began her teaching career. Over a 29-year career in education, she has taught all levels of mathematics. Most of her teaching career was at South Florence High with five of those years in Newnan, Georgia. Most recently, Mrs. Young has served as an assistant principal at West Florence High for the last five years.
Mrs. Young has been happily married to her husband, Eddie, for 28 years with two beautiful daughters, Jewel and Savanna. She currently resides in Florence, South Carolina.
