Cheraw students collaborate with arts commission

Umbrellas were provided through the CAC and State Farm, where students painted vivid original designs. The umbrellas were then showcased in a gallery opening at the Burr Gallery in the Cheraw Community Center and sold to members of the community for $12 each.

All proceeds were given back to the Art Departments at Long and Cheraw High.  These jazzy umbrellas will parade through Cheraw on October 18th as part of the South Carolina Jazz Festival and in the tradition of Second Line Parades.
