Bracy named district Teacher of the Year

Bracy has been teaching at Long Middle for eight years. She said that the desire to be a teacher has been with her since childhood.
“My own teachers were an inspiration to me and have been an essential part of molding me into the woman I am today,” she says.
Bracy added that she enjoys watching her students grow academically.
“There is nothing more gratifying than watching former students succeed in life,” she says. “This is why I strive to make an impact in students’ live.
“This is why I teach.”
Chesterfield County School District Superintendent Dr. Harrison Goodwin said that Bracy represents her peers well. “She is indicative of the kind of teachers we have in the county,” he says. “They care about their students and work tirelessly every day to help those students be successful.”
