District names new Petersburg Primary principal

Since 2015, Dr. David has been the assistant principal at Edwards Elementary. As assistant principal, she monitors student performance with data collection and analysis, assist with the supervision of all school-based personnel and serves as the coordinator multiple instructional programs for students. Dr. David has also been a participant in the Chesterfield County School District Aspiring Principal Program. According to Dr. Harrison Goodwin, Superintendent of the Chesterfield County School District, “I am very excited that Dr. David has the opportunity to share her leadership abilities with all of the stakeholders of Petersburg Primary School. I am equally confident that she will continue to move the school forward in accomplishing great things in the future.”

Dr. David earned her M.A.T. in Mathematics in Elementary Education from Columbia International University. She continued at the University of South Carolina and earned a Master of Education Degree in Education Administration. Dr. David furthered her education and earned Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Wingate University in 2016, followed by her Doctorate of Education Degree from Wingate University in 2017.

 Dr. David believes that early childhood is where the journey begins. She stated, “We must equip our students with the necessary tools that will help them be productive in our community, state, country and the world. I am excited to join in on those efforts at Petersburg Primary School.”
